  • 150 grams chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt Add to taste

  • 3 medium Green Chillies
  • 2 cm cube Fresh ginger
  • 4 tbsp Dried fenugreek leaves
  • 4 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1 medium Lemon

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry spinach and then chop into thin strips. Chop chillies and ginger finely And add to a bowl
  2. Add 150g chickpea flour and mix till all the spinach is covered by the flour
  3. Add to the bowl 1 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp salt (to taste) 1 1/2 tsp turmeric 4 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves 4 tbsp yogurt (Free from natural yogurt works really well) Squeeze 1 medium lemon
  4. Mix till you have a sticky dough. If its too try add some water if too wet add more chickpea flour.
  5. Put mixture into a sandwich tin You need to steam the mixture there are Dokla steamers out there but if you do not have one of them in a large saucepan add boiling water and then put a sandwich tin upside down. Then put the sandwich tin with the mixture on top. You have to make sure the water does not get into the mixture.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes till you can put a sharp knife into the mixture and nothing sicks to the knife.
  7. Remove and chop up the Dokla. Serve with chilli sauce
