Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup puffed oats (available in health food stores
  • 1⁄2 cup puffed spelt (available in health food stores)
  • 1⁄4 cup sunflower seeds 1⁄4 cup pumpkin seeds 1⁄2 tsp salt
  • 1⁄2 tsp cumin powder 1⁄2 tsp chilli powder
  • Bhel:
  • 2 cups of sprouted lentils
  • 2 chopped vine tomatoes 1 red pepper chopped
  • 1⁄2 cup of fresh coriander chopped
  • 1 cup of finely chopped bistro salad bag Sweetcorn kernels enough for a sprinkle 2 tbsp green chutney
  • 2 tbsp red salsa or chutney Chaat masala to taste
  • 1 cup of chevdo

Instructions

Chevdo:

  1. Heat oven to 150 degrees Celsius
  2. Lay out the puffed oats and spelt on an oven tray and add 1⁄4 teaspoon salt, cumin powder and chilli powder and mix
  3. Lay out the sunflower and pumpkin seeds on another oven tray an season with 1⁄4 teaspoon salt, cumin powder and chilli powder and mix
  4. Put both trays in the oven for 20 minutes
  5. Allow to cool and then mix both trays together and store in an airtight container

Bhel:
1.Mix all the ingredients and serve.
