Ingredients

  • 1⁄4 cup moong dal green
  • 1⁄4 cup moong dal yellow
  • 1⁄4 cup masoor dal (red lentils)
  • 1⁄4 cup urad dal (black gram dal) 1⁄2 cup of water
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of tumeric
  • 2 tsp of coriander-cumin powder 1 tsp of garam masala
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of grounded flaxseeds 2 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of green chillies 1/2 cup of carrots finely grated 1 cup of cabbage finely grated 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 tsp Baking powder
  • Garnish:
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut 2 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tsp of oil
  • 1 tsp of cumin seeds 1 tsp of mustard seeds 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp of lemon juice and 2 tbsp of water Add to vagar.
  • Pour over muthia
  • Cut into square pieces
  • Green Chutney:
  • 1/2 bunch of cut dhana 1 Apple
  • 10 almonds
  • 10 Cashews
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground Jeeru 1 green chili

Instructions

1. Soak all the lentils for 3 hours, then drain and rinse

2.Turn on the steamer

3. Put the soaked lentils in a blender

4.Add all the spices and water

5. Mix for a couple of minutes till mixture is finely grounded

6. Now Add cabbage and carrot to the mixture and blend for 30 seconds. 7.Add baking powder and lemon juice

8. Transfer mixture in the 2 8-inch lightly greased trays.

9.Place in steamer for 15 minutes

10. For the 1st layer of garnish - add desiccated coconut and coriander.

11. For the 2nd layer of garnish - heat 1 tsp oil in a small pan, once hot, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and sesame seeds.

12. To the cooked seeds add 2 tbsp lemon and 2 tbsp water

13. Now pour this mixture over the steamed muthiya

14. Mix the chutney in a blender (e.g. nutribullet) and serve with muthiya
