So what is a spice box? Its also known as a masala dabba. I have been using them since I can remember and use it for all my cooking. I have fond memories as a child watching my mum cooking zipping around the kitchen cooking for lots of people with her trusted Masala dabba by her side. It is a must have for all kitchens. I admit, I have a spice addition and I keep two spice boxes in my kitchen. The first one contains the spices used for tempering and making day to day curries. The other contains whole spices used for making more exotic food! For those who are not familiar with Indian spice box, It is stainless steel flat container aka dabba with tight fitting glass lid.
